The Medrash on Chumash Shemos explains, that the Bnei Yisroel merited to be redeemed from Golus Mitzraim due to three things 'Shelo Sheenu - they did not change' their names, language nor their mode of dress, but held steadfast and proud to their Jewish identities, and were not influenced by the ways of the Mitzryim.

Today as we stand on the threshold of the final Geulah upon which it is stated 'Kimai Tzaischa M'Eretz Mitzraim - just as at the redemption from Egypt, G-d will show you wonders, likewise with pride in our heritage we must not be influenced by our surroundings just as in Mitzraim and 'Lo Sheenu - not change' in our actions, our mode of dress and even in our speech.
